On the Camping Le Foci in Opi is the ideal starting point for those who love walking, exploring, moving and experiencing nature in all its forms.

Immersed in the heart of the in the Abruzzo, Lazio & Molise National Park., just a few steps from scenic trails and centuries-old forests, the campsite is the perfect base for hiking, cycling or horse riding.

Every season offers different emotions: from summer sunshine to autumn foliage, and the magic of snow in winter.

The most beautiful trails start here

Hikes for all levels

✔️ Monte Marsicano (2.245 m)
Challenging hike (approx. 4 hours), breathtaking views, possible sightings of chamois and golden eagles.

✔️ Val Fondillo
Perfect for families and relaxing walks. Gentle trails for everyone, with streams, woods, and picnic areas.

✔️ Monte Amaro di Opi
Medium-difficulty trail (approx. 2 hours), with stunning views over the Sangro valley.

✔️ Macchiarvana
A wide plateau surrounded by beech forests is ideal for walks, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in winter.

✔️ La Camosciara (a few minutes by car)
A spectacular protected reserve with waterfalls, grazing horses, and accessible paths.

Sport, nature and adventure

Staying at Camping Le Foci in Opi means enjoying a living, authentic landscape, rich in opportunities for those who love movement, the outdoors and adventure.

🚶 Trekking

For experienced hikers or casual walkers, with well-marked and maintained trails starting from the campsite or nearby: Val Fondillo, Monte Marsicano, Camosciara, Monte Amaro.


🐎 Horse riding

Just 2 km from the campsite, riding centres organise horseback treks through forests and trails. Ideal for beginners and families.


🏹 Archery, five-a-side football, tennis, swimming pool

Sports activities are available about 6 km away, perfect for alternating between relaxation and movement. Great for fun or a bit of friendly competition.


⛷️ Cross-country and downhill skiing

In winter, the campsite is an excellent base for snow sports:

  • Cross-country ski trails 7 km (Opi, Macchiarvana)

  • Ski lifts 6 km (Pescasseroli, Passo Godi)


🦅 Birdwatching and wildlife photography

The Park is a paradise for nature lovers. Possible sightings include:
Apennine chamois, deer, roe deer, golden eagles, foxes, wolves and Marsican brown bears.

🚴 E-bike tours

Explore the park effortlessly with guided e-bike tours:: routes suitable for all levels, through Opi, Val Fondillo and Forca d’Acero, riding safely along scenic roads and forest paths.

Prefer to go at your own pace? Just steps from the campsite you can rent an e-bike and set off on your chosen route. Perfect for families and groups too.


🐺 Husky trekking

One of the most thrilling experiences to enjoy in both winter and summer: walk side by side with a husky, harnessed and ready to lead you through beech woods and snowy plains.

Ever dreamed of guiding a sled pulled by huskies like a real musher? You can do it right here, in the heart of Abruzzo, with expert instructors and dedicated trails.
